As for the American legal system requires, I give expert witness testimony both for plaintiff's and defendant's side.

I am engaged in the active practice of Internal medicine and Cardiology. Therefore,  I restrict my testimony for the cases of Internal medicine and Cardiology/Cardiovascular surgery only,  unless if you wish,  such services can be rendered by general practitioner.

Prior to the offering of my expert testimony, I first become familiar with all pertinent data of the case and current concepts related to the matter at issue.

However, I do not concern myself with the legal issues in question. I give  my opinion what I believe to be the truth from the  medical standpoint only, though I do know how to and what to say from the legal standpoint.

My expert testimony will reflect my own individual opinion, but I will also describe where my opinion may vary from common practice. I also vouch that my views do not have to be the only correct ones and it may vary from other Internists or Cardiologists.

I don't accept a contingency fee for my expert witness testimony. I believe my fees are reasonable and commensurate with the time and effort I give preparing for deposition or court appearance, though my fees are separate for the research and the reports, as demanded by you or your attorney.
