Do you want to quit ALCOHOL ADDICTION?

Do you know if you are addicted to alcohol ? Opium? Heroin?

If you want to quit  addiction you have to know if you are addicted to it and then you have to be motivated to quit it.

You are addicted to, if you cannot do without it and you must drink it to avoid tremulousness, extreme anxiety and irritability that for the people who are with you think that you have  just a miserable personality during the time that you are without alcohol. So this way you can know if you are really addicted to it or not.

Motivation - If you are not motivated to quit,  then you ought to know what excess of alcohol can do to your health. e.g. it can fry your brain off that you cannot think straight and eventually leads to alcoholic toxic effect on your brain. It can also cause disease of the heart (alcoholic cardiomyopathy) which leads to heart failure and sudden death or death by cardiogenic shock, wherein, the blood pressure cannot be sustained. It can also cause cancer of stomach, cirrhosis of liver, dysfunction of liver, leading to death, severe G.I. bleeding that may also lead to death, liver cancer, and colon cancer.

So now you should be motivated  to quit if you are addicted to alcohol. You may need help through your physician or you may need to be hospitalized for long period of time to achieve that goal. There are medications available like Antabuse or Flagyl or Suboxone. For Heroin addiction  that may be prescribed by your physician or I can do it, as I am certified for the latter.  If you do not have this help at your disposal, then services will be provided at a reasonable cost of my office visit.  You may also first try to attend AAA (alcoholic anonymous).
